00:00:07 — Yes. My name is Titus. I'm from Bangladesh.
Kiami:
00:00:11 — Oh, you're from Bangladesh. Nice to meet you. I'm Kiami. I'm from the U.S.
Titus:
00:00:17 — Nice to meet you, too. Today, I would like to talk to you about noise. Okay. So what are some places where there are a lot of noise?
Kiami:
00:00:34 — Okay, how about rock concerts? How about a rock concert? There's lots of noise at a concert.
Titus:
00:00:48 — Yes, and I think also some supermarket, you know? People come they're bargaining about the product and some salesmen they try to sell their product right yeah they're making loud louder they are speaking please come our shop and please and buy our product right yeah absolutely and
Kiami:
00:01:14 — then people are trying to negotiate right so do you mind noises um I prefer like I prefer to live like in a quiet area like a quiet neighborhood it's like the US is such a big place that we like spread out a lot you know so we like tend to live kind of like a more I would say a more quiet life yes in my case I
Titus:
00:01:48 — when actually I back from work and when I come to my place then I just want some quiet place. Yeah. Because you know when it's much more noise it's annoying for me because after come to the work then you need some quiet place.
Kiami:
00:02:14 — Yeah you need to like be able to recharge. We call this recharging our batteries, right? Recharge our batteries. Yeah. So it's also very like noisy in the streets, right? Like traffic and honking people on the streets, right?
Titus:
00:02:37 — Yeah. So what type of noise do you come across in your daily life?
Kiami:
00:02:43 — Probably like mostly just other people or other other people playing their music right maybe a neighbor will turn up their music kind of loudly right yeah yeah or you hear some people talking or you know having a party things like that it's sometimes feeling good but.
Titus:
00:03:08 — Sometimes it's annoying right yeah of course of course yeah and in my case also same actually in my case my house actually side to the main road so that you know um always the horn you you'll get all the horn and especially in peak time it's a huge noise here
00:03:40 — so yeah so i i think um it's a daily i'm i'm facing this issue oh okay so so it's is it kind of noisy in your neighborhood yes so how is the noise level in your city I would.
Kiami:
00:04:02 — Say that it's it's pretty quiet really I think like it's not like a super super noisy city yeah it's not like you know New York City or something where it's very busy all of the time and there's lots of traffic all of the time so it's very noisy there right but I live in kind of a smaller city so it's not that
00:04:28 — noisy but I would think Bangladesh is a very big city right so you get a lot of noise there.
Titus:
00:04:36 — Yes also my city is an industrial play a city and so the noise level are very high yeah definitely can you please describe a noisy place you.
Kiami:
00:04:55 — Have been to a noisy place that I've been to uh yeah okay so about three years ago I took a vacation I went to Bangkok Thailand yeah yeah and it was very noisy there. The city is very noisy. Lots of people on the street talking and walking around and shopping and lots of traffic noises. And then, you know, late at night you can hear these loud clubs with lots of music, right? People partying and laughing.
00:05:35 — And yeah, it was very, very, very noisy city. Yeah, so I would just say like the city was noisy, very noisy, yeah.
Titus:
00:05:46 — What about you, can you describe? Yes, the noisy place, I'm talking about our rail station. Oh, your railway station, okay. You know, when you go to the railway station, you can see people are making noise for collecting ticket.
00:06:10 — Some people actually forget their platform and you know some people come for selling some item and you can see some people are meeting, greeting and everyone some people are just talking with their friends and family members they come to the so I it's a totally crowded always and if you also if you if you want to try to say someone like that please don't talk then nobody care you yeah no no no one
Kiami:
00:06:51 — hears you and they probably don't care anyway right so do you still live with your family there do you live on your own?
